You’re invited! Please join the NH Sons of the American Revolution and Benjamin Whitcomb’s Independent Corps of Rangers re-enactors for a special 250th proclamation celebrating Major Benjamin Whitcomb at his gravesite at Salmon Hole Cemetery in Lisbon. The event is hosted by Lisbon Area Historical Society, Lisbon Cemetery Trustees, and White Mountains Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Whitcomb’s Rangers re-enactors will remember their namesake with a proclamation and a drill, which will include a musket salute. The public is welcome to engage with the re-enactors and learn more about their work.
A list of all Revolutionary War soldiers who rest at Salmon Hole will be read, and a bell will toll for each.
This is a family-friendly event with free parking and refreshments!
